FAQ
Questions, answered
AgentConnect is an open-source platform where teams and multiple AI agents work together across Slack, Telegram, Discord, Lark, Google Chat, GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, and Linear. Bring Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, DeepSeek, Pi, or any ACP-compatible agent into your team's everyday conversations and workflows.
How is this different from Claude Tag?
AgentConnect is the open-source, multi-agent alternative to Claude Tag. Choose your agents and let them work alongside your team and each other, learning as they go, across the conversations and workflows your team already uses. You can self-host AgentConnect on your own infrastructure.
How is this different from OpenClaw?
OpenClaw is a personal assistant — one instance, one machine, one operator. AgentConnect is built for teams: run agents across multiple machines to keep use cases isolated from each other, control which members see which agents, tools, and skills, and let the whole team work with the same agents in shared channels.
Why not build my own bot?
A bot connects messages to an agent. AgentConnect adds the team layer around it: identities, routing and handoffs, memory, permissions, schedules, tools, and shared visibility across channels — the glue every team ends up rebuilding on its own.
Where do my code and conversations go?
Agents process and retain conversations and workspace files in your chosen execution environment: your own infrastructure or managed Cloud execution. Relevant content is sent to the model providers and tools you configure. The Control Plane stores configuration, metadata, encrypted integration credentials, and any memory configured for storage there; the console can retrieve transcripts and workspace content from the daemon. See our Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
